SQL Database Migration
SQLite is not supported in versions 7.0.0 and newer. Consequently, SQLite databases will
need to be upgraded to SQL Server Express or better. Deployments currently using SQL
Server will also need to have the existing database migrated via the utility. The original
database will be retained in either case. Verify that enough drive space exists to host the
newly created database.
It is best practice to back up the SQL database before migration, but the utility leaves all
original databases intact. During the migration process, the existing database is duplicated and upgraded, so it’s prudent to confirm that sufficient drive space is available on the machine hosting the SQL Server.
If the utility needs to be manually launched, it may be run from the Salient Security Platform group within the Windows Start Menu.
